At Smiles Family Dental, all dentures are constructed in-house by licensed denturists. This is a great benefit since you can see your dentures being made and adjusted throughout the process. Your denturist can make adjustments and changes along the way to ensure the ideal fit and most aesthetically pleasing finished product.

What are immediate dentures?

You might be a prime candidate for immediate dentures if you've lost your teeth as a result of illness, injury, or decay, and need full dentures. Immediate dentures are readily available, which means you don't have to suffer the inconvenience of not having teeth. Be aware, though, that as your mouth heals from the loss of your natural teeth and immediate denture inserts, your dentures require relining to ensure the most comfortable and accurate fit over time.

Are partial dentures the right choice for me?

Removable partial dentures with a metal frame are the most common type of partial dentures. Unlike full dentures, partials are meant to replace a few missing teeth, not all of your natural teeth. The denturist or dentist measures your jaw and makes models of your mouth. These models allow them to build your dentures in-office in their lab, quickly and efficiently. No dental adhesives are required. The metal frame anchors to existing natural teeth to keep the dentures in place.

A more cost-effective alternative is acrylic partial dentures. They tend to be less expensive than partials with metal frames, but they also need to be replaced more often. They’re typically used to replace front teeth as a temporary solution while the dentist constructs permanent partials or bridges.

Do you repair dentures?

Smiles Family Dental's licensed denturists can repair full or partial custom dentures while you wait or in a few hours, depending on the repairs needed. Denture repairs are completed on-site.
